UPE，Ultra-high molecular Weight Polyethylene的英文縮寫，或寫成UHMW-PE，即超高分子量聚乙烯。是指分子量在150萬的線性結構聚乙烯，是綜合性能最好的工程塑料。
UPE的特性

UPE的耐磨、耐沖擊、耐腐蝕、自潤滑、吸收沖擊能—這五個性能是現有塑料中最好的。
UPE耐磨性居塑料之冠，是普通碳鋼的8倍
UPE沖擊強度列塑料之首，是ABS的6倍
UPE自潤滑性能相當于聚四氟乙烯，價格只有其1/8
UPE耐腐蝕性能強，化學技術性能高
UPE不粘性好，制品表面與其它材料不易相附
UPE衛生無毒，耐低溫，在液氮下具有延展性
